Welcome to Chapel of the Incarnation

Greetings!  Welcome to our website! The Chapel of the Incarnation is are an outreach ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Florida, under the spiritual leadership of Bishop John Howard.

We are a campus ministry serving the University of Florida and Santa Fe College. With young adults striving to live spiritually, fully, and in community with others, this is indeed a lively place! With a gorgeous chapel (built in 1939), a beautiful and lush study garden (also a place for pray, to use the internet, and just to visit), common room, small library, offices, and sizable kitchen, we are keen to enhance our community as an open, safe, and welcoming place that feeds and nourishes people in deep and meaningful ways. We have a great location--right across from Library West, next to the UF Institute of Black Culture.

We strive to share the love of Christ and to be open to the fruit of the Spirit -- "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, trustfulness, gentleness, and self-control" (Galatians 5.22), that emerge in being part of a seeking and faithful community.

We find deep gladness in helping the folks here recognize and live more fully into the spiritual dimensions of life. We find deep joy in encouraging young adults to explore and struggle with the complexities and profound questions of life, and ground their lives in Jesus Christ. It is sweet to encounter those in this community wonder what God might be up to in their lives, and them find ways to serve.

We invite others to journey in Christ with us. Drop by for a visit. Come and worship Christ with us. Come grow with us, sharing in the riches of life in Christ in this beautiful and holy community.

P.S. We hope that UF alumni will consider the Chapel of the Incarnation a spiritual home when they are in town.
