WEDNESDAYS

5:30 WOW (Worship on Wednesday)-- Holy Eucharist

Our Sunday Night Communion (Holy Eucharist) service from 5.30 -6.30 pm, sweetened by our talented musicians, is a casual and welcoming time of reflection and celebration. All are invited to a free student dinner (a delicious home-cooked meal provided by friends from local Episcopal Churches) following the service (fall and spring terms).

Worship on Wednesdays (WOW) is every Wednesday from 5:30 - 6:00 pm with appetizers following the service. Come as you are to this contemplative service with monastic seating--do stay in touch during the week.

We celebrate feast days according to the Episcopal Church's Book of Common Prayer. Last year this included St. Francis Sunday and the Blessing of Animals, All Saints Day Sunday (remembering and honoring the beloved who have died), Earth Day in April, Lenten Sundays (reflecting on Jesus' 40 days of the wilderness), Palm Sunday, and of course the big feast day of the year --Easter! We attended a Seder Meal at Hillel. At the beginning of the academic year at our "Welcome Back Sunday," we asked God's blessings on our backpacks, satchels, and laptops!

We are blessed with a beautiful Chapel built in 1939 in the Collegiate Gothic style which was designed by Rudolph Weaver, a noteworthy local architect who was the first Dean of the Architectural School at UF. In addition to celebrating the Mass in our gorgeous Chapel, we had communion on the beach at our Leadership Retreat in May and right here on University Avenue across from the University on Earth Day.
