Updates for Sunday Services
Sundays @ 5:30
You are invited!
Come join Chapel of the Incarnation friends at the Chapel on Sundays beginning this week, September 13th, at 5:30 pm to participate in our live worship service. Due to COVID protocols, we will be physically distanced and masked on the property. The space constraints mean we will spread out on the church campus: occupying the Chapel, Chapel House, covered porch, and courtyard/front lawn (weather permitting). This way, we will worship together alongside others utilizing “overflow spaces” to be socially responsible during this pandemic. It will be streamed into those locations for a shared in-person experience.
Following the service will be dinner fellowship on the grounds – you may choose to bring your own prepared food, walk to a nearby take out establishment, or simply have a soda and enjoy relationships with Chapel friends new and old. We look forward to seeing you there!
As always, this service happens because of YOU, so if you are inclined to serve as a reader for Scriptures or prayers, sign up on the Google Doc Caroline sends out on our GroupMe (contact us to be added!).
Brown Bag Prayer
Wednesdays at 7:00 PM
Join others at the Chapel House for a time of catching up, reflecting, and prayer. Bring your own dinner and we’ll provide the beverages (we aren’t sharing a common meal during COVID). Physical distancing and mask measures will be observed, and we will sit comfortably in the courtyard and on the front lawn also (weather permitting).
Pints with a Priest
Twice a Month in the Chapel Courtyard!
Grad students and young professionals (21 and over) come together over beverages of your choice to discuss theology, philosophy, and issues of concern. 7-9pm twice a month in the Chapel courtyard. Rev. Adam has a GroupMe for this regular gathering, so contact him if you want to receive notifications – 352-535-0501.
Lost Women of the Bible Discussion Group
Mondays from 7:00 to 8:00PM
Throughout history, the LORD has inspired and called women into action to accomplish his good purposes on earth. Some of these women are featured in Scripture, though their stories are often overlooked or misinterpreted. You are invited to join Leslie in exploring the stories of the "Lost Women of the Bible" this fall. Join us on Mondays 7-8pm in the Chapel building OR Zoom for rich conversation and a closer look at the role of women in the Biblical narrative. Space in the chapel is limited to 10 in-person, but no limits with Zoom!
